Artist’s Statement
I started working with stained glass in 2001 after taking a class at a local artisan’s studio. I fell in love with the beauty of the glass and what could be done with all the colors. I found I was good at working with it almost immediately (the teacher even remarked on this). After the class I started making suncatchers and window panels for myself and friends, some of which can be seen in the Gallery. I’m especially proud of my greatest masterpiece to date, the lamp with Fall leaves that is used as the company logo. It took eight months of Saturdays to finish. I designed the pattern by tracing actual fallen leaves.

As you can imagine all this work in stained glass accumulated many smaller pieces which lead into working in mosaics in 2003. Mosaic work can be completed faster partially due to the fact the pieces don’t have to fit together as precisely as when making a window panel or lamp. So I made a number of different stained glass & mosaic pieces and entered my first craft show in the summer of 2004. In 2006 I started decorating the larger size mirrors which I hope to continue as some of my signature pieces.

I hope you will enjoy looking at the site and will agree it is appropriately named “Glass Radiance”.
